1: How to measure
your yard
|
| |
Follow
these simple steps to insure an accurate measurement of your
yard.
|
| |
Divide
your yard into geometric shapes (rectangles and triangles) |
| |
Individually
calculate the area of each shape |
| |
Total
the area of all the shapes |
| |
Now
you are ready to order your new lawn! |
| |
We
recommend adding an additional 5-7% to allow for any extra cut
outs and odd shaped areas |
| |
Step
2:
Soil Preparation
|
| |
Follow
these easy steps to effectively prepare the soil for your new
lawn.
|
| |
Remove
weeds and unwanted growth with an appropriate herbicide |
| |
Clear
rocks and debris |
| |
Apply
soil amendments such as mulch or gypsum 1 inch thick, which is
about 8 cubic feet of mulch per 100 square feet |
| |
Till
in soil amendments to a depth of 4-6 inches |
| |
Install
your sprinkler system |
| |
Level
your soil with a roller or a rake |
| |
The
final soil grade should be 1 inch below sidewalks, driveways,
and sprinkler heads |
| |
Step
3:
Sod Installation
|
| |
Follow
these simple steps for a quick 'n easy installation.
|
| |
Install
your sod within 25 hours of delivery
|
| |
Lay
the first row of sod along a straight edge (sidewalk, driveway,
walkway) lengthwise
|
| |
Seal
the edges of your sod with a firm push, being careful not to
overlap
|
| |
Stagger
each row, similar to bricklaying
|
| |
Sprinkle
sod with a hose throughout installation, keeping the soil moist
|
| |
Ensure
a level surface and remove air pockets with a roller
|
| |
That's
it, now enjoy!
